Ce programme de certification offre une meilleure compréhension de l’incidence de l’intersectionnalité pour les chercheurs d’emploi qui sont noirs, autochtones et de couleur en situation de handicap (PANDC-H). Il offre un aperçu essentiel des expériences en matière d’emploi des chercheurs d’emploi PANDC-H.  

Le contenu du programme, les discussions, les travaux pratiques et les webinaires en direct explorent des concepts clés tels que l’antiracisme et d’anticapacitisme pour accroître votre sensibilisation à l’alliance inclusive et à la défense des intérêts ainsi que votre engagement à cet égard. Vous apprendrez des stratégies fondées sur la recherche pour mettre en pratique une approche intersectionnelle et tenant compte des traumatismes en matière de soutien professionnel.  

Le programme offre la possibilité de mettre l’accent sur la prestation de services équitables et efficaces et de former des partenariats significatifs avec les clients PANDC-H et les employeurs. À l’issue du programme, les apprenants recevront des micro-certificats qui attestent de leur participation au programme et décrivent les connaissances, aptitudes ou compétences ciblées qui ont été abordées. 

Le programme de certification sur l’approche intersectionnelle pour soutenir l’avancement professionnel a été élaboré par l’Association canadienne du soutien à l’emploi (ACSE) en partenariat avec le CERIC.

Prestation du programme

Ce programme en ligne d’une durée de 6 semaines offre une combinaison d’activités d’apprentissage asynchrones (indépendantes) et synchrones (planifiées). Les activités d’apprentissage asynchrones comprennent la révision des modules d’apprentissage, la participation à des forums de discussion et la réalisation de travaux hebdomadaires. Les activités synchrones comprennent la participation à des webinaires hebdomadaires et à une heure de discussions ouvertes. 

The weekly live webinars present additional content. The class size is kept small to facilitate engagement and networking among learners. Both the webinar and the discussion forums offer opportunities for collaboration and feedback from your instructor and cohort (learning group). The weekly live webinars occur on Tuesdays from 12:00 – 1:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Cancellation Policy

To provide you with the best possible learning experience, we keep class sizes small. Due to limited seating, we request that if you must cancel, you do so at least 14 days before the scheduled start of the class to receive a full refund. If you must cancel with less than 14 days’ notice, we will do our best to fill your spot with another interested participant. If we are successful, we will reimburse you for your full registration fees. If we are not able to fill your spot, we will refund you 50% of your fees. We are not able to offer refunds for cancellations made after the course has begun.

Learners are invited to participate in the complimentary asynchronous (independent) course: Developing Intersectional Employment Services to enter this program with a foundational knowledge base.

Are you a career development professional looking to improve your services for Indigenous and racialized clients who experience disability? If so, this program offers:  

  • An enhanced understanding of the impact of intersectionality and unconscious bias in the workplace.
  • A deeper awareness of job seekers’ experiences and perspectives around race and disability.  
  • Critical knowledge on relevant terminology and concepts such as white fragility, anti-racism, anti-ableism, and allyship and advocacy.  
  • Practical recommendations to foster your commitment and connect with different stakeholders to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.  
  • Research-based strategies that align with an intersectional and trauma-informed lens to maximize the impact and inclusivity of your practice.

This is a 6-week program and will require a total of 30 hours to complete. 

We recommend allocating at least 5 hours per week. 1 hour will be allocated to the weekly live webinar. The remaining weekly requirements can be completed on your own time. 

This program is completed online via the CASE Learning Portal.  

To successfully complete this program, learners are required to complete the following by Sunday evening every week: 

  • Participate in the discussion forum by posting 1 original post and responding to 2 others. 
  • Review the modular content and resources. 
  • Attend the weekly live webinar. 
  • Submit the learning activity (requires 80% grade to pass). 
  • Complete the knowledge check (requires 80% grade to pass).

Your instructor will provide you with a detailed training calendar prior to the training start date. Learners are encouraged to schedule time in advance to complete program requirements to prevent conflicts.  CASE understands that, on occasion, missing a live webinar may be necessary and a recording will be provided.     

In An Intersectional Approach to Supporting Career Development, webinars are held on Tuesdays, 12:00 – 1:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).

 

Webinars are facilitated through the Zoom platform. Please make sure you have a Zoom account set up before the first webinar and that you join with a working microphone and video camera to fully participate.

You can access the meeting details within the learning portal itself or in the training calendar sent to you from the instructor. The instructor will also include the meeting details in their weekly communications to the learning cohort.
