The Foundations of Supported Employment program is an evolved iteration of Supported Employment Essentials, an introductory training established in 2019 and guided by CASE and the Canadian Mental Health Association.
The new iteration builds on feedback from over 300 learners to offer more opportunity for connection, collaboration, and practice. It equips practitioners with foundational knowledge and recent research to provide effective and responsive disability-inclusive employment services.
You will gain practical knowledge on how to:
High-Quality Interactive Learning: Learn alongside a knowledgeable instructor and peers from across Canada through online modules and scheduled webinars and discussions.
Supportive Environment: Every learner receives a one-on-one orientation with the instructor et a personalized learning experience throughout the program.
Research and Resources: Access to current information, resources, and tools created by learning specialists and experienced career development professionals.
Micro-Credentials: A digital badge and certificate issued upon completion.
Program Delivery: The training is completed online on the portail d’apprentissage de l’ACSE.
Time Commitment: This 5-week program takes 25 hours to complete in total.
Webinars: Held each Wednesday, from 12 to 1 PM Eastern Time, unless noted otherwise.
Accommodations: If you require an accommodation to participate in this program, please reach out to the program instructor at [email protected].
Note: It is mandatory for learners to attend the webinar every week to receive their certificate.
