Abilities at Work Advisory Team
Abilities at Work Advisory Team is a group of Canadian employers and supported employment service providers who are active in the development of inclusive and diverse workplaces.
These advisory team members take part in monthly one-hour sessions during which they learn, share, network, and collaboratively identify solutions that help drive business success through improved accessibility in their talent recruitment and retention systems.
The Abilities at Work Advisory Team includes representatives from national employers such as:
- EY
- IBM
- Sun Life
- Canada Post
- Accessible Media Inc.
- Coca-Cola Canada Bottling Limited
Apply to Join Us
We welcome applications for membership from employers who operate in a minimum of two regions in Canada (for example, British Columbia and Yukon, or Nova Scotia and New Brunswick). Whether you are a manager, the owner of a small to medium-sized business, the CEO of a large company, or an HR leader, we want your perspective at the table.
If you are approved to join, you will:
- Provide feedback, guidance, and advice to the Canadian Association for Supported Employment (CASE) and its network of supported employment service providers on the MentorAbility Canada initiative, the annual supported employment conference, employer-focused webinars, activities, and resources, and other supported employment topics.
- Learn accessibility best practices to enhance your company’s talent recruitment and retention efforts – and share your successes and experience with other employers.
- Learn about the resources and programs that are available through supported employment service providers.
