Why You Should Partner with Supported Employment
One in five workers experiences some type of disability.
(Source: Statistics Canada)
Supported employment professionals support workers experiencing disability and employers to set them both up for successful recruiting and retention.
Professionals in Canada’s supported employment sector connect with job seekers, workers, and employers every day. They work hands-on and they are employment leaders and decision-makers in communities and in organizations in every province and territory.
Supported employment service providers support workers experiencing disability through skills assessment, employment training, job coaching, building relationships with employers, and mediating accommodations.
They can support employers through every stage of the employment cycle, disability inclusion training, and the development and implementation of disability inclusion plans.
