Building from CASE’s Guiding Principles of Supported Employment, this course will strengthen Job Developer’s understanding of employer realities. Participants will leave better equipped to support employers as they address business concerns with a strength-based, solution-focused approach. And they will help develop valuable meaningful, sustainable employment opportunities for people with diverse abilities.
Special thanks and acknowledgement to Life Strategies, which has shared content from their Job Developer certificate. Life Strategies has also benefited from contributions/insights from First Work in Ontario and Jayne Barron, Life Strategies’ Job Development Course Instructor.
At this time, this course is only available in English.\n\n[/cs_content_seo][/cs_element_layout_column][/cs_element_layout_row][/cs_element_section][cs_element_section _id=”41″ ][cs_element_layout_row _id=”42″ ][cs_element_layout_column _id=”43″ ][cs_element_headline _id=”44″ ][cs_content_seo]Course Delivery\n\nSubheadline space\n\n[/cs_content_seo][cs_element_text _id=”45″ ][cs_content_seo]This 8-week, online course will be conducted using the Life Strategies’ e-learning course management system (LearnOnline in Moodle). Registered students will receive log-in instructions by email prior to the course start date. The course design relies on asynchronous discussion forums (participants post when it’s convenient for them).\n\n[/cs_content_seo][cs_element_text _id=”46″ ][cs_content_seo]Each week, a live webinar will present additional relevant topical content.
Online learning offers amazing opportunities for shared learning. Many experts in the field believe that the best learning online occurs in the discussion forums and that the posted course content may take on secondary importance. Although this course will provide comprehensive content, your active participation in the discussions will enrich your learning significantly.
If you have a disability that needs accommodation for this course, please let us know. We will work with you to meet your needs before and during your participation in the course.
Unfortunately, at this time the Job Development Training course is only available in English. We are working to make the training available in French as soon as possible.
To ensure your best learning experience and to facilitate networking with other students from across the country, class size is kept small.\n\n[/cs_content_seo][/cs_element_layout_column][cs_element_layout_column _id=”47″ ][cs_element_headline _id=”48″ ][cs_content_seo]Registration Fees\n\nSubheadline space\n\n[/cs_content_seo][cs_element_text _id=”49″ ][cs_content_seo]Registrant Type | Type d’inscription
