Foundations of Supported Employment

The Foundations of Supported Employment program is a 5-week, facilitated online program. It equips practitioners with foundational knowledge and recent research to provide effective and responsive disability-inclusive employment services. Topics covered include: 

• Guiding principles and approaches in supported employment 

• History of disability rights in Canada 

• Federal, provincial, and territorial employment legislation 

• Disability inclusion and advocacy 

• Networking with employers 

• Job customization and carving
