Becoming a Job Coach

Becoming a Job Coach is a 2-day facilitated online program. It equips career development professionals with inclusive and effective tools to provide on-the-job training and support to employees who experience disability. You will gain practical knowledge on how to:

• Support new employees in learning and adapting to their roles.
  
• Perform comprehensive job analysis.
  
• Analyze tasks and use prompts based on employee’s learning style (also known as systematic instruction).
  
• Supplement workplace training and orientation. 
  
• Facilitate collaboration and connection between new employees and their team.
  
• Explore accommodations and workplace supports.
• Promote employee independence by fading coaching supports.
