Sam said that participating in this mentorship at Computers for Schools was a very rewarding experience that provided valuable skills and knowledge towards his future career in the technology sector.

Computers for Schools Manitoba welcomed Sam for a mentorship experience, providing hands-on learning in computer hardware, giving him a hands-on MentorAbility Experience to learn valuable skills in the field of computer repair, maintenance and parts-salvage.

Sam met with Technical Manager James at the Computers for Schools facility and got to understand the day-to-day operations of a computer repair shop and observe the employees at work. Technical Manager James has participated in multiple MentorAbility Experiences and always welcomes mentoring new job seekers in tech.

Through this mentorship, Sam observed different hardware and software technologies and gained valuable technical skills. He became more familiar with different computer components, operating systems, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques. Sam also learned about coding, the differences between the inside workings of a computer versus its external hardware, and how staff work together to rebuild computers.

Sam said that participating in this mentorship at Computers for Schools was a very rewarding experience that provided valuable skills and knowledge towards his future career in the technology sector.

Wishing you continued success as you build your career in technology, Sam!
