David, who had a world of mechanical experience, sought a long-lasting career as a Boilermaker with the Canadian Coast Guard. A MentorAbility mentorship was organized with Craig from the Canadian Coast Guard to discuss their recruitment process.
When David and Craig met, they spent time talking about their work experiences. They connected through a shared respect for hard work in challenging conditions!
Craig reviewed David’s resume and was impressed by his experience. He explained how recruitment works with the Coast Guard and what to expect during the application process. Craig also described what a job on the water involves with their organization.

He left with the answers he needed and feeling confident that his resume fit the Boilermaker position.
