MentorAbility Experience Story: Alicia

Alicia was referred to MentorAbility Canada with an interest in graphic design. We were fortunate to be able to pair her with John, the Creative Director of Perfect Day creative agency in Newfoundland.
Alicia met with the Perfect Day team to discuss how she could get started in this field and what education and training she would need. She also learned how the staff members got their start in creative design.
Alicia learned about the foundations of graphic design, from topics like animation, branding and book covers to things like video editing and managing client relationships. It was a very interactive MentorAbility Experience, with the whole team taking part in the mentorship sharing different perspectives with Alicia. Alicia even had the opportunity to share her own designs with everyone!
John said the team really enjoyed having Alicia stop by and would be happy to take part in another mentorship again in the future.
