Who Is This Program For?
This program is for job coaches who provide on-the-job training and support to employees who experience disability.

What Will You Learn?
You will gain practical knowledge on how to:
- Provide customized, strengths-based on-site training to new employees.
- Analyze tasks and use prompts and repetition (also known as systematic instruction) to support employees with learning and adapting to their new roles.
- Work with the employee and the employer to provide training in alignment with the organizational culture and existing orientation processes.
- Promote workplace integration and inclusion for better job stability and sense of belonging.
- Explore accommodations along with workplace and community supports to increase clients’ self-reliance and independence.

What Else Do You Need To Know?
Program Delivery: The training is completed online via Zoom. Webinar link and details will be provided one week before program start date. The program offers a blend of presentation, discussions, case studies, and downloadable resources.
Time Commitment: This 2-day program takes 8 hours in total to complete over the course of two days. You will be attending two 4-hour webinars each day. The webinars will include short breaks.
Note: Attending both webinars in full and participating in the group activities is mandatory to receive your micro-credentials.
Assessment: At the end of the webinar, you will be asked to complete a brief quiz to affirm what you have learned and to receive your micro-credentials.

Program costs are outlined below. The applicable provincial or territorial sales tax rate will be calculated and applied during checkout.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
- If a cancellation request is submitted within 14 days before the scheduled start date of the training, you will receive a full refund.
- If you cancel with less than 14 days’ notice, we will do our best to fill your spot. If we are successful, we will reimburse you for your full registration fees. If we are not able to fill your spot, we will refund you 50% of your fees.
- We do not offer refunds for cancellations made after the training has started.
Meet the Instructor: Ashley Hammond
Ashley Hammond (she/her/elle) is the National Trainer at CASE. She facilitates introductory and advanced certificate programs that support professionals in the supported employment sector. She brings extensive knowledge in guiding principles of supported employment, career development, and strengths-based and solution-focused approaches.
Ashley is passionate about facilitating experiential and collaborative learning experiences. Her teaching style encourages peer learning, reflection, and practical application so that everyone can learn with, and from, each other. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Memorial University. Her educational background informs her practical, learner-centred approach to training through a strong understanding of organizational strategy, communication, entrepreneurship, marketing, and professional development.
Ashley brings over 10 years of experience across the non-profit, post-secondary, and supported employment sectors. She entered the supported employment sector as a MentorAbility Regional Coordinator, where she led successful marketing campaigns and professional development workshops to foster inclusion for persons experiencing disability.
By combining her background in business, supported employment, entrepreneurship, and facilitation, Ashley supports learners in building confidence, strengthening their career development practice, and applying inclusive approaches in sustainable ways.
Outside of her professional work, Ashley enjoys film photography and travelling with her family. She’s always looking for a new tv show, podcast, movie, or book recommendation!
