Jeff: Telling Stories through Photos. Facilitated by WASO. Logos: MentorAbility Canada, the Canadian Association for Supported Employment and the Government of Canada.

In addition to sharing the technical aspects of photography, Mannu introduced Jeff to the artistry behind telling a story.

Jeff had a passion for photography and was interested in learning more about turning his passion into a career. A mentorship facilitator connected Jeff with wedding photographer Mannu at Degree 5ive Photography. During the mentorship, Jeff accompanied Mannu on a photoshoot, gaining a wealth of knowledge and insights into working with clients in the field.

In addition to sharing the technical aspects of photography, Mannu introduced him to the artistry behind telling a story. Jeff learned how storytelling with a camera involves composition, lighting, and post-processing.

Jeff was particularly interested in knowing about the photo editing programs that he was not aware of before his mentorship. He was excited to explore all the features in these programs!

Mannu was happy to share information, guidance, and suggestions with Jeff. In fact, Mannu enjoyed this first mentorship experience so much that a second mentorship soon followed. Thanks for sharing your photography expertise with others, Mannu!

Jeff appreciated Mannu’s years of experience and words of encouragement. Through this collaboration, Jeff was inspired to embrace more learning around all aspects of photography. He told the mentorship facilitator that “all in all, it was pretty helpful” and that it added to his growth and passion for photography.

We’re happy that you found this mentorship experience rewarding, Jeff, and that someday you might create your own stories through photos.
