This support is called social capital. Social capital supports career, learning, and access to resources and jobs. That said, job seekers who experience disability may face barriers in building social capital. This training course offers effective approaches you can use to support clients to overcome these barriers!

What You Will Discover

Research on the value and various elements of social capital.
Barriers that job seekers experiencing disability may face in building strong networks.
Ways to support job seekers to identify and leverage current social capital.
Practices to build social capital like asset-mapping, mentorships, and social media networking.

Course Delivery

This is an online course. You can complete it at your convenience in about 2-3 hours. Successful participants will receive micro-credentials. Micro-credentials include a digital badge and certificate which you can share on social media.
