Casey was interested in learning more about what it would be like to work in a grocery store, especially one that focused on fruits and vegetables. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Ryan, the Employment Specialist at WASO secured a mentorship experience for Casey with Krown Produce, to learn more about the role of a stacker. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Ryan took the time to explain to Casey what he could expect from this experience and provided him with advice on how to make the most of it. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Upon Casey’s arrival at Krown Produce, Donny, the mentor, warmly welcomed him and showed him around the facility, explaining the various responsibilities associated with the stacker role.\u202f\u202f<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

During the MentorAbility experience, Casey actively engaged in discussions and asked lots of questions to gain a deeper understanding of the reality and responsibilities of this role. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Reflecting on his experience, Casey expressed genuine pleasure in the facility tour and acknowledged the valuable insights gained during the mentorship experience.\u202f\u202f<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Observing Casey’s proactive approach and enthusiasm, Ryan commended the MentorAbility program for its effectiveness in providing job seekers an opportunity to explore their career interests. He emphasized the program’s role in bridging the gap between job seekers and employers, particularly for individuals who may encounter barriers in traditional job-seeking avenues.\u202f\u202f\u202f<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
