At an early age Logan knew that he wanted to work in IT someday, as computers are his hobby and he loves learning about them. So, when Logan connected with us, we matched him up with Computers for Schools Manitoba. It was the perfect match!<\/p>

James, Technical Manager of Computers for Schools, was more than happy to mentor Logan and this made for the third time that Computers for Schools participated in the MentorAbility program. When Logan arrived at Computers for Schools, James talked a little bit about what the company does and what its mandate is before taking Logan on a tour of the warehouse.<\/p>

The warehouse is home to all the donated computers and tech, and it\u2019s broken up into three stations: donations, disassembly and hard drive wiping. After seeing how donations were catalogued and taken apart, Logan got to have some real fun smashing up and erasing old hard drives!<\/p>

The next part of the tour focused on building refurbished computers and it\u2019s here that Logan totally blew James away \u2013 building computers on his own with no instruction. James thought it is rare to meet someone Logan\u2019s age that has extensive IT knowledge and sees a bright future for him in the industry. In fact, James was so impressed with Logan that he suggested Logan ask his school about setting up a co-op program for him with Computers for Schools.<\/p>
